It's so interesting how this candle came to be the subject of today's photo. I started out trying to do a strobist setup but unfortunately, the batteries died in my speedlight after hours of trying to get a great photo. So I was sitting in front of my computer watching the time creep closer to midnight when I noticed my candle was sitting there right in front of my face. The caption was so ironic because today like everyday, I have a great will to succeed but I couldn't get a shot I was pleased with. Then after I read the second line, I just knew I had to photograph the candle.
